NAT Gateways
The original calculator assumes $0.045/hour over 730 hours, plus $0.045/GB processing, with 80% removable through endpoints. Endpoint charges and traffic suitability need a separate review.
Rightsizing
Compare average CPU usage with a 60% target, capped at 60% of compute spend. Memory, peaks, and workload limits still need review before resizing.
Spot workloads
Assume 40% of the remaining compute is interruption-tolerant, with a 65% discount. Savings are applied after rightsizing; the combined estimate is capped at your total bill.
